Wordless Wednesday - Going For A Drive In the Country with a Mini
Going for a drive in the country is quite relaxing as you see nature.  It is even more relaxing if you do it with a horse.
Horses come in many different sizes and colors.  Each of the different types of horses are suited for different jobs.  Here we have my granddaughter going for a drive with a miniature horse.

This past weekend Equi-Librium Therapeutic Center in Nazareth, PA held their second annual horse show.  The participants were the students, who showed family and friends what they learned over the year.  The weekend was also the Northampton County Open Gate Farm Tours, of which Equi-Librium participated.  At the end of the horse show, instructors had their chance to show what they were able to do in a speed class using the school horses.  Here, the driving instructor has Li'l Bear hitched to a cart.  Li'l Bear is a miniature horse that is about the size … (6 comments)

A while back I wrote about Noddy, the world's biggest horse.  Now, I will introduce you to Thumbelina, the world's smallest horse.
 
Thumbelina is a dwarf miniature horse, born at a miniature horse farm in Missouri.  She was only 11 inches (that's 2.3 hands) tall and weighed 8.5 pounds at birth.  That is what I call tiny.
 
She is now 17.5 inches (4.1 1/2 hands) tall and currently weighs 58 pounds.  She is recognized by the Guiness Book of World records as the smallest horse in history.
