This is a quick blog but I heard this saying and I love it - it really applies to our real estate businesses. Success isnt magical, it is mathematical. Now is a good time to break down your numbers for 2011 - how many contacts do you need, to convert to the number of leads you need, to convert to the number of customers you need, to convert to the number of sales you are forecasting. If you didnt have the number of closed sales this year, look at increasing the number of "dials" for 2011 to get the process started (4 comments)

On my wall in front of my computer sits my goals for 2010 - I have no choice but to look at these everyday. To complete my goals for 2010, I have to close 7 more transactions to finish meeting all of my financial goals for 2010. Last week, that number kept playing over and over in my head. Granted, I have 1/2 of a year left so this number is really quite simple for me to achieve. However REO listings have been slow for me the past few months so I was focusing on how I could increase my retail (4 comments)

I was listening to a training call today and loved the anology the gal used about obstacles in our lives and businesses. Everyone in life has obstacles of course. We all know it is how you deal with them that affects your life. Here is the analogy she used: A school had some construction work going on in the parking lot where parents drove in to pick up their children. Great call from www.harrisrealestateuniversity.com - you can listen to the reply on their site under free superstar calls. I am not a student of the university but do listen to the interviews and they are great. Couple take aways about social networking and technology: The latest generation doesnt know technology the way we did. For example if we say to our kids, "we dialed a number" they dont know "dial" as their phones dont have a dial on them!!!
