In the recent (December 22, 2016) edition of The Business Development Update published by the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, “Lidl announced it will build a 35,000 SF store at the League City Parkway and Tuscan lakes Blvd. The Germany-based chain is new to Texas but has 10,000 stores in 27 countries. It’s a low-cost grocer offering convenient shopping and deep discounts on groceries, household appliances, clothes and more.”

In an effort to keep our readers up-to-date on news about the Five Corners Realignment Project, in League City, Brockway Realty reports the following information:
Oftentimes, in order to build something new, something old must be torn down. The realignment of FM 270, FM 2094 and FM 518 (League City) has begun by changing the ‘scenery’. The billboard located on FM518 next to the Mattress Firm Building was removed on September 14th. The Mattress Firm building was demolished on September 15th, 2016.

league city: Luxury Home Sales in League City Slow in the First Quarter - 04/02/15 03:16 AM


With only 4 sales of luxury homes ($500,000 and above) in the League City area this year compared to 11 during this time frame last year, activity has slowed.  We’ll know as the year goes on whether this is the beginning of a trend, but for my money, I think this is an aberration since inventory remains at record lows and we are still experiencing multiple offer situations on listed properties.  Leading the way this year are waterfront properties, with 3 of the 4 being on the water in Peninsula at Clear Lake, Marina Village and Waterford Harbor Villas.  … (3 comments)
