Let's face it. Slumps in the real estate gig are inevitable. When business is going so well sometimes I find myself asking when it is going to come to an end. It happens to the best of us and it doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with you or what you are doing. It just means that you have to hit the reset button and follow a few simple steps to get back on track. Remember, this isn't baseball. You can't come up with some magical mascot to break the slump. Be prepared to be moved and thankful upon viewing this emotional video of a young man's wish to simply score a touchdown and his favorite team's granting of that wish. Easy you say. Not in this guy's case. Watch and see why. Then, thank God for every day on earth you are not in a wheelchair. Every time you think you got it bad or are having a bad day just remember that it can always be worse.

"Don't give up, don't ever give up!" In tough real estate times, and I know a lot of you don't think this is, it is important that you keep the words of legendary basketball coach Jimmy Valvano in the back of your mind at all times. This man did the unthinkable with a team that had no business winning a national championship. It was not so much because of his excellent coaching skills, but more so because of his desire to be the best at what he did and to elevate those around him.

motivation: If You Haven't Seen TED Series Yet What Are You Waiting For!?

I first got wind of the TED series at a real estate seminar. TED stands for technology, entertainment, and design. The website hosts different people from different fields at seminars and records them for the public to view so that they can get motivated, and I think this is something the real estate world can always use. Most videos are about 18 minutes long. In this video by Dan Pink the science of motivation is studied and broken down. These videos will all make you think.
