Last week June 8th thru June 15th was the best week our company has had in over a year. In that 7 day period we put 11 properties under contract and listed another 18. Bear in mind that this is a town where in the last year no more than 50 homes have closed in any one month. For example for the entire City and County of Montrose Colorado just 37 homes sold. From now on every piece of real estate I have listed I will video tape and place online with this simple to use camera. It is the size of a cell phone just put it in your pocket. Plug it into your computer using the built in USB connection and it automatically downloads the videos you have taken into your computer. According to the Colorado Division of Housing the annual foreclosure activity in Colorado has fallen for the first time since data was first collected in 2003. There were 15% fewer completed foreclosures during 2008 than during 2007, and there were 20% fewer completed foreclosures during the 4th quarter of 2008 than during the same period of 2007. So Wells Fargo cancelled their Sales conference trip to the Wynn in Las Vegas under media scrutiny. I for one am concerned that they did that and that they were not more vocal in defending the trip. I believe they should have kept it in place. I hear many of you saying absolutely not, they shouldn't be allowed to use bailout money for such things. I disagree.
