This week you will find the usual Solds and Under Contracts for the last Day of Dec 2012 and the first few days of 2013
Also the sold numbers fo all of 2012 compared to the numbers going back to 2007.. As you will see for the number of homes sold and the number of lots Sold it has been the best year since 2007.
The number of homes sold in 2012 jumped 28% from 2011, along with the average selling price of a home went up from $160,611 to $172,296
We start the year with just 320 homes For Sale.

It has been another busy week, especially for the week before Christmas. The last 7 days saw 16 properties SOLD & Closed, with another 16 properties going under contract.
I looked back to the same week a year ago. There were 11 Sold properties and 7 new under contracts that week before Christmas.

This week...I am reporting the numbers for Residential Home Sales and Residential Lot Sales in The City of Montrose and the County of Montrose for the first 9 months of this year 2012 as compared to the same period going back to 2009.
Total number of homes sold this year has jumped 29% over the same period last year, for a total number of 421 homes sold up to Sep 30th. You would have to go back to 2007 to find more homes that have sold over that period.

Here is the last week of September Real Estate Activity for the Montrose Area.. The last few days of the month there is always an increase in the number of closings.
The last week of Sept a year ago saw 9 Closings and 12 properties go Under Contract . As you can see that number this year is alot higher with 18 Sold and another 18 going under contract.
NEXT WEEK I will have the first 9 months numbers compared to the same period for the last few years.
