The VA has increased the VA Loan Limits for many California Counties effective 1-01-2015, increasing the California VA Loan Limits in some counties, and reducing some others to the "permanent high cost loan limit" of $625,500.   Some counties increased, most notable,  San Diego County is now at $562,350, Sacramento/Placer/El Dorado/Yolo counties are now at $474,950, and Ventura is up to $603K for 2015.  The Bay Area counties of San Francisco, Marin, San Mateo, Contra Costa and Alameda top the VA Loan Limits for No Money Down VA Jumbo Loans at $625,500, and LA/OC counties are at … (0 comments)

The Sacramento VA Loan Limit for 2014 has been revised and increased by the VA.   They revisited their calculations, and increased the Sacramento County VA Loan limit to $474,950 for the remainder of 2014.   
This allows Sacramento Vets to purchase a home up to $474,950 with no down payment required, as well as expand VA Refinance options.   For instance,  a Sacrament Veteran could utilize a VA Jumbo loan to refinance a first and second mortgage up to $787,500 on a $875K home.
