Well it was a controlled chaos.
The grand kids opening presents and having a ball.
The highlights of all things were flannel sheets of their favorite cartoon character.
Not that they didn't love most everything else, it is just something they connected to.
For me, the best gift was the hugs of thank you.
It does not get any better than that.

My son works in a restaurant and he told me this diddy that the owner/cook told a patron...
Waitress...how are you chickens prepared?"
"I will ask the cook." she replied.
The cook comes out to talk with the guest...
How do you prepare your chickens? He asked the cook.  To which the cook says.
"Well, just before it happens, we tell them they are going to die."
Some people just tell it like it is.
