hobbies: My winter hobby.

The nights come early during the winter in Minnesota. I can only watch the boob tube for so long. I love to readbut it puts me to sleep. So I do a lot of Jig Saw puzzles. A 1000 piece puzzle takes about 8-10 hours. I have done puzzles others have not been about to in weeks and have it done in 3 or 4 nights. I even had a so called friend give me abox of 10 different puzzles. Nice gift but when I opened the box all 10 were mixed together. He laughed real hard at first but couldn't … (8 comments)

A model train! My eldest son called yesterday and said there was a Model Train show in St.cloud for Sat. I had the morning free so I said sure. It isn't a big show, but still fun for a couple of hours. I had been to the same show about two years ago and was pleasantly surprised that it had grown some. I took the chance to play with the camera although with all the people around, getting really good shots was hard with getting bumped every few seconds. We have not done this in a long time, so when my son asked me if I wanted to go to a model train show...Yea! I said. I played around some with the models when I was in the pet/hobby business, but that was 20 years ago. I still have my train from when I was 2...and it is in fantastic shape still. I have noticed the change in this hobby. The electronics. As with everything else, the Electronics allow the hobbist to do more stuff a lot easier.
