When something happnes and 10 people see it...ther will be 10 different versions of how it happened.
So, take a minute and clear your mind.
You don't want anything to cloud your judgement.

Well, certainly not a White Christmas.
This photo is from last year, it is our flowering crab.
Now, don't get me wrong, I enjoy the winter snow and cold, but, I have so much maintenance that has been back burnered that an early spring would be great.
Last year we were having snow in late april and I got really far behind.
So, this year I am dreaming of an EARLY SPRING!

As we drive into the driveway, the first impression was "looks just like what we want".
Because of snow on the ground, we could not really see the landscaping.
Inside, the lay out was perfect. We could tell that the home had been freshly painted.
Although the colors we not perfect that would be an easy fix.
But, taking a closer look, we were very dismayed. The paint job was sloppy. The edges of the door trim had paint on them, and even on the front of the trim in places. You could tell there was no attempt of cleaning it up.

For the small offices as mine, a vacation can be hard.
With most of my staff dropping out during the lean years and others going part time and having other jobs, it was very hard to be gone for any length of time.
I am happy to say that in the next few weeks, will have a couple new agents. Although new, they are not new to Real Estate.
This will at least allow me to take my wife on a much needed get away. But until that happens...my phone goes from my hip to my ear all the time.

My wife and I were in a small town a few years back and walking down Main street USA and found this sign on a merchants door.
AS funny as it is, it is not all that odd.
I know a people who run a business like this. If they are there they are open.
Real Estate is almost like that...If were are here we are open otherwise we are working with a client.

Norah O'Donnell asked Chief executive of Zillow about the inaccurate Zillow Zestimates.
On CBS this morning she was told that Zestimates are a 'Good Starting Point".
It was pointed out to her that The national average of error is 8%.
In some areas of New York the error is nearly 20%.
I printed the article out. Just pop over to CBS and read the article for yourself.
It will be a great re-buttle for our clients.

All of a sudden, anyone using Turbo Tax to file their Minnesota taxes, need to listen up.
the Stat of Minnesota is not accepting Turbo Tax filings.
Some fraud is suspected and many who have filed may have to re-file.
Turbo Tax was a great short cut for filing for many...But once again the short cut ends up costing more time.

What is the difference between Ground Hogs Day and Presidents day?
The answer is simpler that you think...
On Ground Hog's Day the fuzzy little animal comes out of it's den, sees it's shadow and goes back into it's lair to wait out another 6 weeks of winter.
On Presidents Day, the President steps out of the White House, Looks around and then goes back inside. The public then gets another 12 months of BULL!!!

People think I am crazy talking baseball so soon
But, pitchers and catchers are starting to pack for spring training.
Our AR fantasy baseball leauge already has 5 returning teams and one new request to join.
This shows that I am not the only crazy one, although I may be the worst.
Still at least one new spot open...Come and join us.

Well there were some winners and some losers.
Tomorrow we will hash it all over and find all the 2nd thought of mistakes.
I didn't see to much of the game as I was talking with a client a good part of it.
He called planning on leaving a message and 1/2 hour later I was sending information to him.
Yea, I missed a good game, but I think this deal will pay for my loss.

Getting old, I realize how well I had it when I was young.
Getting old lets me realize that I did know most everything.

The more I see in my life of how the elderly suffer in many ways, I don't think I want to grow real old.
It does seem to me that modeern medicine has created more suffering than we need to endure just to stay a live drooling down our chins.
But, we just need to wipe off our chins and smile and make the most of each day.

I have a great doctor. Just out of school a few years, top of his class and is very caring.
I have had High Blood pressure for years and years.
He took the time to make sure I understood some of the things that I should do to lower my stress level.

The more I read about health care, the more confused I get.
I know several doctors and one is going to quit the employer and start his own private practice...Cash only!
Another is going to retire as she is tired of the red tape and being told how to treat her patients.
2 others are not sure what they are going to do, but are also tired of all the Bull!
Myself, I am not happy about being told I have to have coverage and WHAT KIND of coverage I need to carry.

This seams like a growing trend. I have had several agents tell me that they have had listings complain about this lately.
One couple was actually eating supper when they saw faces in the windows. (You could get shot doing that).
There is even a guy that stops, knocks on the door (without and agent) and demands to look in the house. ( Has not happened to my listing yet, but they know about it)
That guy will be going to jail if he tries it on my listings.

I was meeting with a couple in their 40's. They are hoping to buy a home. They lost their to a foreclosure a few years ago.
They had an arm product and needed to re-fi.
They jumped on the computer to see how much equity they had in their home. The went to......Zillow!
Zillow's crack site gave them a range that was not close to what they owed. Feeling totally defeated, they let the home go back to the bank.

Our lives are far from private anymore.
There seams to be a need to splash our lives all over the world.
I for one am more private and don't share a lot of information, but it still seams to get out there.

The Super Bowl is set and in a couple of weeks it will be played and I can't wait.
I can't wait because once it it over Pitchers and Catchers will start spring training.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy football but Baseball has always been my first love.
That also means that Active Rain's Fantasy Baseball League will start again. For those interested in having some fun, it is FREE and there is no record keeping. It is all done by the host.
