Lakewood Ranch's newest golf course, the Concession Golf Club, was named the "Best New Private Course of 2006" by Golf Digest. The Jack Nicklaus and Tony Jacklin design is unique in the fact that there are no surrounding homes. The par 72, 18 hole golf course stretches to 7470 yards from the back tees and has the highest slope rating in the entire state of Florida. Other features include a 23 acre practice facility, bunker sand trucked in from Ohio, state-of-the art Advanced Aer drainage systems, wonderful club facilties and even a private yacht.
