la real estate: Beware of the Dog - 08/04/10 08:23 AM

Selling your home is stressful for the entire family, even the four-legged members. While most people spend hours prepping the house to sale, few spend enough time considering what to do with the pets during a showing. Here are some common misconceptions sellers have when deciding how to handle their furry family members.
1) People are here to look at the house, not the pet-- As such, buyers will ignore our pet. Ever been to a pet shop? Animals very quickly become the center of attention.

la real estate: The Office - 04/17/10 05:44 AM
How much time do you spend at the real estate office? For some reason the whole work from home deal is tough for me. After all, what client can compete with 200 plus channels of HDTV??

I was the listing agent only, so no dual agency issues here. The pending march went relatively easy. Then closing day arrived. To save a buck, the out of town title company sent a notary instead of an attorney.
THIS WAS HER FIRST CLOSING EVER!! Not even as a notary, this lady had NEVER attended a closing.  Where is the settlement table?? At the … (4 comments)
