Prospect Hall is a well-known landmark property that was originally known as "Red Hill" when owned by Daniel Dulaney, a colonial civic leader and member of the Maryland General Assembly in the mid to late 1700s representing Frederick County. The historic mansion sits on one of the highest elevations outside of Frederick City. Construction began around 1787 however the current mansion known as Prospect Hall was probably not completed until 1810. The white, three-story structure, designed in a Greek revival style with additional Federal elements, has a storied past. Located just around the corner from one of Frederick's landmark restaurants" Dutch's Daughter" in The Overlook neighborhood .
