real estate: Mill Ave Real Estate News: The Library Bites the Dust - 06/20/10 05:18 PM

Tempe commercial real estate got whacked another good one by having a popular bar and grill close.  It was a well-liked place students are very familiar with.
So this is how it works. You are a student and call home for more money or to say hi to mom or dad. It is Friday or Saturday night and they ask you where you are. So, you tell them the truth: ‘the Library'. They are so proud of you for being such a studious person. For sure they tell family and friends that their son/daughter attending ASU was at the Library … (1 comments)

real estate: Realtor designation dilemma: do clients understand or even care? - 03/28/10 05:33 PM
So, what's in a designation? Does the client even understand or care? My father was a PhD, a President of an organization and other titles. But what about us Real Estate Agents with our many designations? Is it worth it? Has anyone called you up and inquired about the years it took to obtain an ePro, GRI, ABR, etc, etc, what your real estate Alma Mater was? Harvard, Stanford, or MIT?
This is not to suggest that education is not important for us. But, what is the point of having 5, 10 or 20 initials after a name? Does anyone ask … (2 comments)

real estate: LightRailConnect.com Magazine features properties in the light rail corridor - 03/26/10 03:36 PM
LightRailConnect.com is a specialty website that has focus on the light rail corridor in cities with light rail trains. The Metro operates the light rail system in the Phoenix-Tempe-Mesa system currently. Real estate along the corridor typically has a bump in value. This is due to the new streets, sidewalks, city lights, shrubs, and traffic patterns. Look for higher real estate activity in the light rail corridor. Bryan Watkins and Don Mortensen are the owners of the site.
