existing home buyers: How does Media hurt us in real estate market?

This week alone I ran into 3 people who said they wish they could purchase a home and take advantage of 8 thousand dollar tax credit. I asked them, "why can't you?" I do not have a good score. Red Flags need to go up......If that is the case follow up and ask them this question who said you have a bad credit score, you or did a real person that you can touch and sat down in their office and tell you that? Just wanted to pass this experience on that happen to me yesterday. I have a closing Tomorrow in Cornelius NC and my client already did her taxes. So told her that she would have to wait till next year to claim the $8000.00......right? Well learned that she can file for an extention after the closing and but in this case it did not matter due to we are closing before April 15th and the government is still going to send her a $8000.00 back towards her this year!! Chalked that under something that you learn everyday!!! Hope this Helps some of you … (3 comments)
