dutchess county relocation: Dutchess County Is The New Up & Coming - 06/05/09 01:03 AM
I must admit, I was not too impressed with Poughkeepsie when I first moved to the Hudson Valley from a large Metropolitan city in the Midwest.  That was 10 years ago.  How things have changed.  Could it be that this town sort of grew on me, or is it the transformation that has taken place over time which makes me like this place more?  Okay, maybe it's a little bit of both.
Perhaps I was a bit shallow back then too.  As I remember, I was first disappointed because there wasn't a Starbucks and yet Dunkin Donuts was everywhere.  Eventually, Starbucks found Poughkeepsie and the neighboring towns of … (4 comments)

dutchess county relocation: From State To State - Real Estate Is A Different Game! - 04/11/08 05:05 PM
I specialize in relocation and feel it's important to mention - the process of a Real Estate transaction differs from state to state. So many agents do not know this. So many buyers and sellers need to be educated to this fact. A transaction in Ohio can close in 4 -6 weeks, while a transaction in NY can take 7-9 weeks (attorney state).
Always use caution when planning to simultaneously coordinate two transactions involving two different states. There should always be a back up plan.

dutchess county relocation: Apple or Pumpkin? - 11/16/07 11:16 AM

So, which do you prefer????
What makes a house a home is what goes on inside....the people who make up a family, love, the memories (good times & bad), holidays and traditions. When I think of the holidays, especially Thanksgiving, the first thing that comes to my mind is PIE. I never can decide if I like apple or pumpkin, so I always have a slice of both. And, how about you? I am going to make it just a little difficult - what if you can't have both......Apple or Pumpkin????
