real estate: Rainbow Season in Big Sur

It is the rainy season on the Big Sur Coast. So far, we haven't had nearly enough rain, less than half what is normally expected by this time of the winter. The Monterey County Herald reports rainfall on the Big Sur Coast, from July 1, 2007 until now at 10.54 inches. Normal expected rainfall to date should be 22.88 inches. Several days we've had light showers with the sun breaking through every little while. One day I saw five different rainbows, each for only a few minutes. Over the next few weeks, I'm expecting plenty of precipitation. I'll carry my camera with me to … (2 comments)
