Built to serve as a rooming house for summer tourists at the turn of the century, 37 Quincy Avenue became a modernized residence in the 1960’s. The current homeowners purchased the home in the 1970’s. After making various changes over the years, they embarked on a major remodel in 2005. That year, Margaret Velsor Sullivan, Senior Architect at George Penniman Architects in Essex, CT, designed the octagonal turret and wrap around porch, as well as the second floor addition.
