corona real estate: Don't Look Now... The Banks Are Feeling Even More Empowered! - 02/11/13 04:58 PM
If you thought the banks were a handful to deal with when trying to get a short sale approved before... wait until you get a load of their attitudes not that the market is on the way up.
They don't need to help you.  If the process takes longer, or they end up foreclosing... they'll likely make more than your short sale offer that sits on their desk.
It's a sad state of affairs, and if you're a home owner it is sometimes confusing deciding who to turn to for help.

Though the air is getting thicker, there are still expert … (3 comments)

corona real estate: Do You Think About It? Does It Make You Successful? - 01/02/12 07:10 PM
Isn't it odd how some things you experience in life that seem of no immediate consequence, end up being indelibly marked in your memory.  Nothing may come to your mind immediately, but maybe I can refresh your memory (I'm guessing this might not be very helpful if you're not older than about 35).
Do you remember Mr. Miyagi trying to catch a fly with chopsticks?
You may have seen the movie, "The Karate Kid" a dozen or less times in your life, yet the memory of the chopstick scene is indelibly marked in your memory, and probably will be there the … (1 comments)

corona real estate: What is an REO? Should I buy one? - 01/08/11 10:52 PM
Although there have been a record number of REOs in the country recently, many people still aren't sure what an REO is, and if there's any advantage to buying one.An REO is simply a property owned by the bank (REO = Real Estate Owned) and is typically a property that has been foreclosed (taken back by the lienholder (lender).  The term REO is frequently used not only when a lender owns the property, but also if another financial institution hold the title, such as an investment group.
The benefits of buying a bank owned (or REO) home are due to the … (5 comments)

corona real estate: I Learned A Valuable Lesson Today - and you can too. - 01/05/11 07:33 PM
You should treat everyone you meet as if they are one of your dear old friends!  To borrow a line from Dale Carnegie... Take a lesson from the best winner or friends the world has ever known.... yes... the dog.  Each time meet him, he practically jumps out of his skin showing how happy he is to see you.  You can't help but like that dog, can you?  With that in mind...
I didn't act in the way I know I should today and it could have cost me a client (it actually may have).

corona real estate: 31 Days Of December Challenge Update For The 29th - 12/29/10 07:01 PM
Update for December 29th -
Spent some quality time in The Homefinding Center today after visiting one of my client's homes (a listing of mine) to get a few updated photos.  Only one walk-in today (looking for a rental).  Still working on a few marketing items for the new year (sorry... my little secret... the competition is tracking).
Renegotiating with IndyMac (they try to pay me only 5% everytime I process a short sale with them)... when will they learn that Homey Don't Play Dat.  Sometimes it takes a couple additional weeks, but once they know your position isn't negotiable, … (5 comments)

corona real estate: Choosing The Right Corona Real Estate Agent - Don't Make This Mistake! - 11/26/10 09:14 PM
Are you looking for a real estate agent in Corona, California?
Use caution when choosing a real estate agent / realtor to assist you with the purchase or sale of a home in Corona (or any other city for that matter).   Recently there have been many agents claiming to have expertise in Corona, but upon closer examination, these agents are simply using the power of the internet to appear as a specialist in the area advertised (some agents actually post as Corona agents from as far as Banning, California).
Ask these questions and get confirmation BEFORE hiring any real estate agent … (2 comments)

corona real estate: Corona Housing Market - Inventory Eye Opener - 11/15/09 10:20 AM
Don't look now... inventory has dried up in Corona!!!
If you haven't been paying attention to the housing market in Corona over the past several weeks, you're in for a surprise.  Inventory has dried up... and when i say "dried", I mean as in Raisin!  There isn't even many short sale listings (which are usually last on a home buyer's list of considerations).
Amazing how many people keep propagating the story that there will be a GLUT of foreclosures released to the market which will fuel even farther value drops.... DON'T BELIEVE IT.  I've been hearing that one since last year... … (2 comments)

corona real estate: Sierra Del Oro, 1st Quarter 2009 - 03/28/09 08:14 PM
Sierra Del Oro, Corona, California Update
As you may have noticed in the first 3 months of 2009, buyer activity in Southern California is beginning to increase noticeably.  Inventory of available homes in Sierra Del Oro is at an extremely low level, which lends to the increased chance of multiple offers on listed properties (especially those homes which are a good buy).

Good deals are still within reach, but with the increased buyer activity, it is more important to keep up on new listings on a daily basis.  I send out daily notices of new listings in my clients' areas … (1 comments)

corona real estate: Corona Hills Short Sales and related seller distress - 12/15/08 04:42 PM
Corona Hills Short Sales, Corona, California Corona Hills Short SalesAs the majority of Corona Hills residents of Corona, California can attest, the number of foreclosure sales in our community has had a devastating effect on home values. Some homes have lost as much as 50% of their value in the past 2+ years. As a result of this value decline many Corona Hills residents find it necessary to sell their homes, but find the value of their home isn't sufficient to pay off the mortgage owed to the lien holder (bank).
The importance of working with a real estate broker with … (0 comments)

corona real estate: Free Homes in Corona, California - 08/25/08 05:54 PM
Free Houses In Corona! ???
Amazing as this may sound... it's absolutely true!  No silly, not free houses... what happened this afternoon.  I actually had a client walk into The Homefinding Center and tell me that someone told him that Corona is a ghost town and that you can get a home for free there.  Of course, I thought he was exaggerating and meant that there are many foreclosure homes and that you could get a great deal on a home (which is true), but he was dead serious.  After speaking with him for a few minutes, I realized he was … (2 comments)
