Cape Coral Real Estate - 2 for the price of 1? Sort of.
We've been getting many calls the past couple of weeks asking us about the 2 for 1 houses available in Cape Coral, Florida.
Where are they? Do they exist? Well, yes & no.
If you are talking about the prices of homes for sale right now - compared to 2005, then YES, there are a lot of them that are 1/2 price. But if you are referring to homes priced correctly in today's market, then no, 1/2 price houses do NOT exist.

Did you know that many 55 & older communities are registered online through the State of Florida's Commission on Human Relations website? While every community may not be in the list it is a good place to start.

lee county: Foreclosures in Lee County - 09/07/07 01:35 AM
Update: Considering a short sale?
Well it appears they are still on the rise here in Lee County.  Yes folks, we have many foreclosures here in Lee County.
Am I surprised by this? NO.
A recent article in the news-press.com sites 1,232 foreclosures filed in August of 2007. In July there were only 1,045.
Building permits are also way down. Only 63 permits for single family homes were issued in August of 2007. This is the lowest number since November of 1981! Wow!
So is the sky falling? NO.
The market is readjusting. First time homebuyers can now buy NICE houses … (10 comments)

Lee County, Florida Property Taxes If you own property in Lee County, Florida you should have received your new trim notice.
If you do you would have noticed a pretty significant decrease in your taxes.
I think the biggest reductions are on vacant land.
FYI, vacant land in Cape Coral maxed out in 2005 about $90-100,000 & decreased in 2006/2007 to about $25,000 for the same lot worth $100,000 then. Mind you, vacant land in Cape Coral had values of $1,000-5,000 from the early 80s up until about 2002 when we watched them steadily increase up to those … (3 comments)

Well now that school is officially out here locally many people are considering buying a new home in time for the school year. This includes those relocating from other areas, those moving within the Lee County area & those currently renting & ready to buy.
The 2 typical questions I am asked about the schools here in Lee County are:

lee county: Cape Coral, Florida Yacht Club - 04/15/07 07:25 AM
Well, as I often do, I went to the yacht club in Cape Coral, Florida the other day. It is so pretty there. It's one of Cape Coral's only beaches. It sits on the Caloosahatchee River (that's the river between Cape Coral & Ft. Myers).
It's cute, there is of course, yacht dockage. There is also a tennis shop, swimming pool, playground, restaurant, boat ramp & more.
