motivation: Thoughts Become Reality - 11/02/07 07:40 AM
Yes, YOU Are!
Guess what? You are whatever you choose to be.
How do you choose?
That's simple. It is by your thoughts, your beliefs, what you say & what you write.
Write about how horrible it is - then it IS horrible.
Tell yourself that real estate is tough - then it IS tough.
Think you can't do it - then you CAN'T.
So from now on.
Believe in yourself. Know that your beliefs truly do turn into reality.
Keep the junk out of your thoughts.
Don't get into discussions with negative people. They will bring you down, not the other way around.
Believe that you are successful - … (14 comments)

motivation: Where are you going? - 10/15/07 06:33 AM
You can't get THERE unless you know where THERE is.

Sometimes we all get off track in our lives. Whether it is business related or not. We have the plans and goals but somehow forget where we were going.
I read a blog today a friend wrote about a woman he heard in a parking lot over the weekend. I guess her navigation system had erased all of her favorites & she did not know how she was going to get to her daughter’s soccer practice. She’d been there several times before but didn’t know how to get there … (4 comments)

motivation: Monday Goals - 10/16/06 12:27 AM
Do you have written goals? How are they broken down? Do you have daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, 5 year & 10 year goals? You should if you do not.
I know what I need to get done for this week. I also know what I SHOULD get done this week. These are all tasks that will improve my customer satisfaction, client retention, happiness, income & bottom line.
Without goals you have no aim. With no aim, what's your point?
I'm going to continue to work on breaking down my goals for next year. I know what my plans are but I'm … (10 comments)

motivation: Work on your strengths - not weakness - 10/11/06 03:41 AM
This was in my in-box today:
STRENGTH VS. WEAKNESSAuthor Unknown The following is the story of one 10-year-old boy who decided to study judo despite the fact that he had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident. The boy began lessons with an old Japanese judo master. The boy was doing well, so he couldn't understand why, after three months of training, the master had taught him only onemove. "Sensei," the boy finally said, "Shouldn't I be learning more moves?" "This is the only move you know, but this is the only move you'll ever need to know," the sensei replied. Not quite understanding, but … (3 comments)

motivation: One of my favorite Quotes - 10/03/06 04:04 AM
So I'm at my desk working on a few files getting them ready to close and I'm just noticing what I'm surrounded by.
To my right, actually taped to my cpu is the following:
"People who are unable to motivate themselves must be content with mediocrity, no matter how impressive their other talents." - quote from Andrew Carnegie
That quote reminds me that whether I am educated, skilled, etc. until I actually DO something it doesn't matter. When I have my 'blah' days it makes me get going again.
In front of me on my top shelf it says:
"Your Thoughts … (8 comments)

motivation: Time or Money? - 09/27/06 03:21 PM
Given the choice of infinite time or infinite money what would you choose?

I'd choose time because with time you have the opportunity to make more money but more money will not buy you more time.
Would you choose time? If you say yes, then why do you waste so much time? We do not, unfortunately have unlimited time, not in a day, not in a lifetime. We have to make the most of our time.
That means the following:
Prioritize
Make time for what's important - family, friends, time for self, etc.
In Business, spend time on the tasks that make you money. Don't … (2 comments)

motivation: Why did you get into Real Estate? - 09/27/06 01:41 PM
I've heard many stories about how people actually got into real estate. Some had this as their plan? Ok maybe not many. I have not met many REALTORS who started their adult careers as REALTORS....
Some were bored & thought real estate might be fun?
Some needed a job with flexibility? Wanted to be their own 'boss'?
Some saw great monetary potential?
Some simply wanted to help others?
Maybe it was a combination of the above or something I left off, but what would you say were your reasons for getting involved in real estate?
Personally,  I've always had the entrepreneurial spirit & I wanted to work with … (9 comments)
