Here is some housing market data for Falmouth MA. It shows that there have been twice as many properties coming on the market as have been sold. And the current inventory is almost 1 year. This chart is for Non-Waterfront properties only. While Falmouth has more waterfront that any other town in the country, there are many more homes in Falmouth that are not on the water.

The average list to sale price shows 95%. The only problem I have with that nymber/percentage is that is relative to the listing price at the time it went under agreement. This does not take … (3 comments)

I just received a call from the Falmouth fire department informing me that smoke detector inspections in the town of Falmouth MA cannot be scheduled until after June 16 because all the slots are full. Well, it is another beautiful day on Cape Cod! It is cold, but the sun is out and the snow is still white. People are out shopping again and most of the streets have been plowed at least once.

Have you ever wondered where the 40B (low income) developments are in Falmouth. The list below was provided to real estate professionals recently. The list includes the developer/applicant, acreage, zoning information, number of units, etc.

On Wednesday, Trish Favuli from the Falmouth Assessor's office met with the MLS tour attendees and answered questions. Here are my notes:
The fiscal values for 2010 will be based on sales in 2008.  But, the new tax rate won't be calculated until the town meeting members decide if there will be a newer higher meals and room tax.  New assessments will be based on sale values.  Foreclosures are not used when comparing properties in the assessor's office.

The summer has begun!  The parade for the Falmouth Commodores down Main Street in Falmouth MA took place this week.  There were cheerleaders, and fans, and trumpets, and lots of activity announcing the opening of the Cape Cod Baseball League!
