ny real estate: So ... You Think You Know The Market? - 05/19/10 10:55 AM
I just read a blog post by an agent in NYC that could be written by any experienced agent or broker in the US. The question posed as a problem is, "Do you know the market, if you know what the sale price of a property was?" She writes a personal explanation of her experience.
Experienced agents and brokers across the country face this topic every day. We all deal with it. It does seem that there is a trend by smart consumers to utilize an experienced professional. Experienced agents and brokers can explain, verify, and identify properties that truly meet a consumers interest much faster and … (4 comments)

ny real estate: R U having Trouble With Indy M ac?... Court Cancels This Loan - 12/06/09 09:17 AM
There was a legal case in New York recently that, although unique in some of its merits, opens the door to a public discussion. The case contains legalese and a clouded view of the problems with the current Owner of a loan/Servicer of a loan/Borrower  triangle. But there are some interesting, discussable points that result in the debt being discharged.
In the case linked below, a borrower has made repeated efforts to make arrangements to work out the debt she owes. The Court also tries to get the servicing company to meet and negotiate a resolution to the debt. In the end, however, the servicer is … (1 comments)

ny real estate: More Real Estate Searching In NY Than Any Other State In February - 03/03/09 05:16 AM
There were more searches for New York real estate than any other state on REindex.com, The Site Engine®.  New York has been in the news lately as forecasts of falling prices start to affect the market there.  But whether it is news reports, or true activity as the spring market opens up, New York has increased activity.
When the number of searches is weighted by the number of towns, New York falls to 21st place, so there is activity in other states that is strong also.  But given the size of California and the increases in market activity there, and the size of Texas … (1 comments)

How can there be so many more web pages available for Dallas real estate than for Brooklyn real estate? Aren't there more people living in Brooklyn that there are in Dallas? Well, OK, maybe if you take all of the Dallas area and compare it to Brooklyn you'll get more people. But 11,200,000 is still a lot of results just to find local real estate.
If there are less than two and a half million licensed real estate agents in the whole United States, how are there so many pages of information about Brooklyn real estate? Well, of course the answer … (2 comments)

ny real estate: New York has good reasons to look for real estate besides having a large population! - 07/26/08 04:23 PM
In reference to the Top Ten States Searched report that REindex.com just placed on its website:  NY - There are market areas of strength apart from the weight of NYC population that are the reason for so many people searching for NY real estate.  In an area that supports 2 teams for football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and who knows what else, there are just a lot of people that consider the NYC area the place to be.  Then there is the rest of NY.  Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, Syracuse, and Lawng-Eyelan, all operate on the outskits of a place where million dollar … (2 comments)
