Just about every day as I walk around my Sonoran Desert neighborhood or drive down the road in North Scottsdale, there is something wonderful that makes me want to stop dead in my tracks because it's just so breathtaking.
I wasn't lucky enough to see this in person myself yesterday, but my friend Neal Bro sent me this picture he took on Lone Mountain in Cave Creek of the most beautiful red flowers on this prickly pear cactus.
