Foreclosures & Short-sales Foreclosures & short sales are popping up like crazy in our region. I was out showing homes to a client and 3 of the 5 we were viewing were short sales. It's a trying time for a lot of homeowners right now. Whether it's a mortgage that's resetting or too much equity taken out, it's a difficult scenario. Price Them Right! I've been on several listing appointments lately. Sellers are not digesting the reality of the market so well. It seems they still feel their homes are worth what they were in a booming market where bidding wars were commonplace. I have always been of the mindset that I don't want overpriced listings. That has never been truer than now. Sellers don't want an overpriced listing either! Sometimes they just don't know it yet. I am currently working with several buyer clients who ponder "when is the right time to buy?" They have all inquired at one point or another "when do you think we'll hit the bottom in the market?"
