In New York City, space comes at a premium.  Putting down a huge chunk of your monthly income for a place to call home is the reality New Yorkers deal with.  New York is also the capital city of dreams, dream makers, and creative minds that come together and wonderful things are created. 
For example, Edward Franklin Albee III, an American playright wrote "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" at 50 West 10th Street in Manhattan, and "Hello Dolly" writer Jerry Herman lived in his converted 1869 stable.

This photo came across a social network as a humorous post.  It got the instant laugh and chuckle as the irony is enjoyed.  It is a universal truth, that our eyes can be bigger than our stomachs.  Buying a house is not different. There are so many variables to consider.  Looking at location, and size, and neighborhood, finishes, and future of the market can muddy the waters of decision making.  The old adage of "buying the worst house in the best neighborhood" isn't always true in today's market.
