I took some photos  and then of course I had to buy a few. Some of them had warts on the outside which added some extra personality.

The children were drawn immediatley to the unusual warted variety.

All that orange was irresistable.

Check out their website on equipment and rocks they offer.  There are some fun rocks to look at in their store location.
My husband started working with lapidary equipment when was younger and now he is finally getting back to the hobby.  We have collected some wonderful rock specimens and hope to do some cuts and polishing soon.

My serious Treasure Hunting days began on Sanibel Island searching for shells, then doing shell art and on then on to the Peace River for fossils. (Those to be featured on posts to come)
We have added leaf fossils in Utah, agates, petrified wood and various rocks that we have yet to identify.  This soon becomes addicting. I can actually get … (13 comments)

utah: Pheasant Run Estates Vernal Utah - 04/22/08 03:43 AM
I have been working with the Pheasant Run Estates Development in Naples City, Utah which is located with Vernal, Utah.
The first phase is 37 lots rangeing from .21 acre to .5 acre.  The total project will be 151 lots.
The new plans are to have homes built by Fieldstone which has many of their own projects on the Wasatch Front and also other states.  Their homes offer more square footage for the price which is needed here at this time.  We need more economically priced homes and even rentals.  Rentals are in demand and the rents are high.
This is a great subdivision for someone moving … (6 comments)

utah: Beware Of Ice Dams! - 03/10/08 05:23 AM
It is not too late and not  so late that you do not need  to worry about ice dams on your roof.  In Vernal, Utah we are starting to thaw and although people have been having trouble during the snow storms it is now more of a worry with the spring thaw.  Our snow fall has exceed the average. I am not a advocate of getting on the roof to slide off there is a need some years to take care of some of the snow build up. I am dealing with a home that just closed and when the new owners … (2 comments)

utah: Housing Market Vernal Utah - 02/26/08 04:31 AM
Housing Market Vernal Utah
Vernal Utah Current Real Estate MarketAs a need-driven (rather than investment-driven) market, the Vernal, Utah area Real Estate Market is currently much different from the rest of the United States.Since 2005, the Vernal area has steadily increased in number of sales and price of real estate properties. This has led many developers to look for land to buy and entitle for subdivisions, which they intend to either build out or resale. Many builders built homes in the $250,000 and up price range. This created a rise in inventory of homes for sale, since many of our buyers … (3 comments)
