I was delighted to come across this yard full of pumpkins in Orem, Utah.  
 
 
  I took some photos  and then of course I had to buy a few. Some of them had warts on the outside which added some extra personality.
 
The children were drawn immediatley to the unusual warted variety. 
 
All that orange was irresistable.

The Vernal Utah Market has gone up and up and is staying up.  The following chart shows the numbers from the MLS for the months up to October of each year shown.
There are many first time home buyers and the lower priced homes are selling quickly.  The increase in foreclosures is benefiting the buyers that are willing to do a little work and increase the value.

On October 22, 2008 a plan was announced to include over 190 million acres of Federal land in 12 Western States including Utah available for development of geothermal energy resources,  This initiative could increase electric generation capacity from geothermal resources more than ten times.
90 percent fo our nations geothermal resources are found on Federal lands and the clean energy is needed for our homes and businesses.
The total eventual supply will be enough to power more than 12 million homes.

We took a short afternoon trip  North of Vernal, Utah last week to enjoy the fall colors and were not disappointed.  I love the light thru the leaves and especially the orange and red hues.
The contrast against the dark evergreen trees brought out the colors.
This area is on one of the Scenic Byway Routes.
I hope you are enjoying the beauty of the change of seasons where your are.  Take a drive and get away from the hassles.

Vernal, Utah is growing and experiencing a good market.  Buyers are coming in and calling to find homes.
We have the energy business here and  all the reports I read  speak of  nothing but progress and expansion plans.
We have new construction for business' and  the new college campus taking shape.  Everything is busy and I am optimistic.
If we can keep the loans coming for our good buyers and enough affordable houses for them to choose from we will be doing great.

We made a visit to the Colton Draw Guard Station  in the Ashley National Forest where the house is rented out to vacationers.  It has not been used as a Guard Station for a long time. It is north of Vernal on our beautiful mountains.
It is a  nice house with running  hot water, toilet, stove and beds.  We had a wonderful time. It was a fun adventure and I am we will do it again.sure

Here are some essential points to remember on your credit.  We always need to keep track on work on keeping good credit.

To say your credit history & score is HUGE these days may be a borderline understatement.  For purposes of my experience, I'll concentrate on how credit relates to getting a mortgage to buy a home or trying to refinance the one you currently own.

It is always good to know more about any area and this area I drive by so often I cannot even count. 
 

I had the opportunity to get a picture of Starvation Reservoir near Duchesne, Utah. It got it,s name because a rancher tried to raise cattle in this area and they all starved. In 1970 the reservoir was built and now there is more irrigation water to that area. If you enjoy fishing for wall eye and small mouthed bass this is the place to go. About a year and a half ago the daily inventory for the Vernal, Utah Area, Uintah County, was between 50 to 60 residential properties a day.
Since then we slowly reached close to 350 properties each day.
I am glad to report that during the last month we have been getting closer to 250 per day.  Today we are at 285 with a fair number of those being "To Be Built".
We  still need homes in the lower ranges and the higher priced homes starting at about $250,000 are being taken up with builders lowering their prices and giving incentives.  With … (3 comments)

The President has signed a new Bill that will help Home Owners and Buyers.  As Agents we need to study and learn what the benefits are for our clients.  I am sure there are many views on whether or not the Bill should be but since it is we will want to look for the good in it and be informed.

This photo was taken on Diamond Mountain by Vernal. Utah in Uintah County. I love a beautiful sunset.  I used this on another post and a few people said they enjoyed it.  We have a piece of property here that we call "The Cabin Land".  Someday I hope to have a cabin there but in the meantime we will enjoy the sunsets, scenery, wildlife and peace and quiet.

Find a red tag on the fish you catch at Red Fleet  or Steinaker north of Vernal, Utah and you might win one of many fun prizes.  Originally 100 fish were released but since no one has turned in a tag more will be released.  It is all part of a Family Fishing Event!

The family went fishing  on the 5th of July.  Rounds Park was perfect since everyone had something to do.  Go North from Vernal, Utah and turn left onto the Red Cloud Loop Road.  Rounds Park is a few miles down the road on your right.

The New Recreation Center For Uintah County Opened In June.  Here are a few photos I took at the Open House..  I cannot wait to give it a try.!  My grandchildren tried out the great water area on the opening day!   It received rave reviews!
The bucket at the top holds 500 gallons of water and dumps every two or three minutes.!

I have to share the cute photos as my grandchildren enjoy splashing at the Gateway Shopping Area of Salt Lake City.  Every half hour the water plays to the music and the kids were grooving.

The children love to see if their feet can stop the sprays of water and The cresendo of water at the end of the musical number was definitely a favorite....!!

According the Zions Bank Insight Articles Utah and the Rocky Mountain region and the nation  transitioning to a slower economic growth pattern.  Unlike the nation the area and Utah are not likely to have a recession in 2008.
Montana and Wyoming with agricultire and energy are growing.  Colorado, Idaho, and Utah have slowed but still ahve moderate gains.
Even though the employment growth in 2008 is weak in comparision to the last couple of years Utah is among the leaders in the nation and improvement will come in 2009 in new home construction.
2009 is coming fast and with it improvement.

 When you decide to  head out  on the hunt for  Living Dinosaurs in Uintah County, Utah you will need to obtain a Dinosaur Hunting License.  This will allow you to capture the Living Dinos you find without any  problems.
You can obtain this document online or when you arrive in Vernal, Utah at the The Utah Fieldhouse of Natural History on Main Street. (Also known as The Dinosaur Museum) 
 Fill out the form and make sure you have lots of supplies such as water, food and sturdy footwear for the journey. Be sure to wear Dino Scent  to blend in with the Dino Habitiat.
