With the change in the market, buyers now, more than ever a looking for a bargain buy.  There are tips to finding these great bargain buys.
Often you see buyers just coming in and low balling sellers that are priced to sell, right off the bat.  That strategy does not work.  It only angers the sellers.

Look for a home that has been on the market for 3 months or more.  Sellers are more willing to accept a lower offer after the home has sat on the market. Look for a home that … (0 comments)

langhorne: Positive Market Trends - 09/03/08 05:46 AM
It appears that July 08 has offered us some positive housing market trends.  There has been an increase in resales and new construction in most parts of the country.
Don't get too excited now.  The market has lowered home prices due to the overwhelming number of foreclosures and short sales.  With prices being so low, first time homebuyers have now entered the market.
This seems to me to be great news.  Prices needed to level off.  Prices could not have continued to soar, no one would be able to afford them.

Buying a home can be overwhelming.  When you find a home, it is very important to get a home inspection done.  The home inspector will quite often find things that you missed or did not realize.  The home inspector will also go over the electric panel.  For your own education here are some guidelines.
You should understand some basics, especially with electric.  Older homes typically have 50-60 amp service, however many homeowners (I know in my area) have upgraded to at least 100 amps.  The size of the home will dictate how many amps you need.  Typically, if the home is … (3 comments)
