The Holiday Season was slow for me, as it normally is.  It was a little more scary this year because of the economy issues.  However, things have seem to pick up for me since last Friday, January 2.  The phone has been ringing and I have had appointments.  It is just what I needed to pick me up.
Don't get me wrong, I have kept a positive attitude through the slow season.  But the phone ringing is giving me more motivation and positive energy to go out there and get that listing or sale.

I blogged yesterday and said that I was taking a two business planning course.  It was a great course.  I learned a lot, and now have my eyes wide open.  I need to get myself back on track.  The market shift has affected me and my business.  I started prospecting more, but not enough.  And can be doing so much more, and I need to do it.  I need to implement systems and stick to them.  It is always easier said then done.  I have faith that it will happen this time.  It has to.

Let's face it, the market has changed.  And with this market change our strategies as Realtors need to change.  Buyers and sellers are not as easily found anymore.  We need to get back to the basics and aggressively market ourselves.
You need to develop a strategy of who you want to target, and stick to it.  Develop a Niche.  But make sure you ask yourself first what type of clientele you work best with.    Most Realtors do cast themselves too thin, trying to cover every angle.    The truth is, it works best if you pick out a group and actively target them.  Stay … (13 comments)
