One of the wonderful organizations we have in the Wenatchee area is the Alatheia Riding Center. Alatheia is a therapeutic riding center for those with special needs.  It was opened in 2011 and has been providing life-changing experiences for children with physical, emotional and/or mental challenges ever since.  
I encourage you to peruse their wonderful website.  Be sure not to miss the heartwarming rider stories . I have a friend whose grandson has Downs Syndrome and he loves his time at Alatheia each week.
