There are many versions of the history of Thanksgiving in the United States.  They are all based on fact with a few variants.

This post Nine Simple Tips to Decorate Your Home For Christmas by Pat Starnes reminded me that I won't be putting up any Christmas decorations this year in my home. 
Shortly after Thanksgiving, I will be heading to my sister-in-laws in Arizona for the holidays so there isn't really any point to decorating.
