"There's no place like home."
As much as I enjoy traveling, it's always a blessing to arrive home safely from the latest journey. I should be arriving home today from a 3-day road trip, after being in California and Arizona for the last month.  It was the coldest, wettest winter I can remember in over 30 years of going to the Southwest for a winter getaway. Oh well, I got to visit a lot of friends to keep my heart warm.
Here are my various ramblings from last week:

"Focus on being productive rather than busy."
Happy Monday all!
I guess it's been a productive week if you consider arriving at my intended destination safely.  I did not get much blogging done, though.
I slipped through all the nasty weather issues California has been having, with great roads for driving the entire trip. Since arriving, though, the weather has been a mix of everything... rain, wind, fog, clouds, and even some sun which is what I came for.
I did get a few blog posts done during the week.  Here they are:

Happy New Year!
I hope you are all excited for the unlimited opportunities available in this new year.
It's been a fun and productive first week of 2019. One of my fun activities this week was planning my annual winter escape to the Southwest (California & Arizona). I'm looking forward to getting out of the cold for a few weeks and meeting up with some of my ActiveRain friends while away. More on that later.

-William Parks
First of all, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope you are spending the day with family or friends who you consider family.  If you are alone, that's ok too!
Christmas is kind of a weird holiday for me.  My Dad was taken to the hospital on Christmas Day 1963 and never came home. My Mother had died 5 years prior.  Due to my early experience with loss, I became … (35 comments)

Happy Monday! I always enjoy putting together my weekly round-up of posts from the previous week. It is a productivity check for me.
Although it's been a busy week for me, it has been another low production week on the blogging front. Between jetlag and re-entry into reality after my amazing trip to New Zealand and Australia, my brain wasn't quite ready to focus on writing.  I don't know if that's from the cold I got on the cruise or from the long travel day getting back home.  Perhaps this coming week, I can focus … (5 comments)
