Wenatchee is chock full of choices for fun things to do. This year I decided to do something I've never done before by buying 2 season passes to the Wenatchee AppleSox baseball games. I've been to a number of games in the past but have never purchased season tickets.

Here is my friend Shirley with the Applesox mascot, Coyote. Coyote is a very personable mascot and has a lot of fun entertaining and interacting with the crowd.

On August 17th, Wenatchee Valley College had their inaugural graduation ceremony for the 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.  This is a wonderful addition to the curriculum that has traditionally focused on 2-year Associates Degrees.  
Now we also have another 4-year degree program: The Bachelor of Applied Science - Engineering Technology (BAS-ET) program.  They still have a few years to go for … (8 comments)

wenatchee valley college: Wenatchee: Historic Wells House - 06/27/18 12:36 PM

In late May I had the opportunity to attend a tour of historic homes, a mausoleum and an old hotel in Wenatchee.  I wrote a little about it in my Wenatchee Valley Museum Testimonial post on May 29th. 
One of the homes we toured was The Wells House, built in 1909.  The architectural style is described as: Juxtaposition of craftsman and Tudor with a castle-style tower made from locally sourced stone.
