Newly built single-family home sales have significative escalated in January and February. As the warmer weather approaches in several areas of the U.S, home sales have increased, having a prompted start to the spring homebuying season.
 
Sales have increased by 7.9% in January to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 764,000 units. In comparison to last year, sales are 18.6% higher.
 
The growing demand among homebuyers is encouraging homeowners to sell their properties, especially new construction since inventories remain low.

Relentless supply constraints and home price growth outpacing wages are testing the patience of homebuyers this year, but existing-home sales are still on track to come in at their highest pace since 2006, according to an economic forecast forum at the 2016 Realtors® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo.
 Among the topics addressed were: the growing burden repaying student loan debt is having on young adults, the housing market and the overall U.S. economy.

Sales of new U.S. single-family homes surged in August and hit their highest level in more than six years, offering confirmation that the housing recovery remains on course.
 
The US Commerce Department said on Wednesday that sales jumped 18.0 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 504,000 units. That was the highest level since May 2008, and marked the second straight month of gains.
 
Economists polled by Reuters had forecast new home sales rising to only a 430,000-unit pace last month.
