Real Estate agents have recently began marketing luxury properties by creating short videos of their homes. They are not simply video tours, but mini-movies complete with actors and story lines. They target consumers by marketing not only the house itself, but the lifestyle that comes with it. It is an interesting concept that "strikes an emotional chord with people" in a way that typical real estate marketing does not often do.

I have been on page 1 of the Google search before for "luxury real estate". In fact I (my site is castlesmag.com) was there everyday for about a year before it started to slide, slide, slide. By the time it stopped sliding my international database of $1 Million+ homes was outranked by local websites from all over the country and world. A broker in Savannah, GA had higher ranking with just local listings. My average prices were about $20 Mil and everyone was outranking me. I was pretty excited to see that not only could I blog on AR but now I could advertise on AR as well. I wear several hats and not only do I own my office, act as President of the Weichert broker council, develope property etc...I also publish "Castles(R)" Magazine dedicated to luxury properties (castlesmag.com). So with great anticipation I signed up to run a nice banner ad on AR and offered all of its brokers FREE ADS!
I must admit I was pretty disappointed with the results...are the brokers on AR doing so well that free marketing isn't worth anything to … (7 comments)

There aren't many places to get something for nothing these days. Even on the Internet where it was always free...it isn't free anymore.
There are several sites available to promote luxury listings. I have been developing one for over six years now and have printed the magazine to go along with the website. Up until now you could never find the site...now with some crafty SEO "castlesmag.com" and "castlesmls.com" is in the search for "Luxury Real Estate".
It's only the second page of Google but who know how fast it will rise to the top...afterall AR has risen amazingly fast through word of mouth. … (1 comments)
