beach: Fort De Soto Park...No New Fees...Yet!

Fort De Soto Park, consistently ranked as a top beach is now a target by the County Commissioners. Apparently, there was a proposal for the 2010 budget to have a new fee at the park. It would cost up to $8 per car or pedestrian to enter the park. Thankfully, the Commissioner's decided to table the issue until later this year, according to the news report that came out today. Pinellas shelves entrance fees for Fort De Soto and Fred Howard parks. Let's hope that when this issue comes up again, that it does not pass. The park generates its revenues … (2 comments)
