Every once in a while I stumble across a really terrific and interesting website. Strange Business is one of those sites. It talks all about the fresh and interesting ways people are finding ways to start businesses. That being said, all the business ideas are maybe not so fantastic. Iggys House is one example, imho... Hmm... I seem to be extra-chatty today. Probably has to do with just a little too much coffee... or maybe it's because I'm finding a lot of keen things to share with everyone! Sure, I may be a little jittery and prone to typos, but it's totally worth it!! Thanks to Michael, I went and checked out Kijiji.com, a new craigslist-type online classifieds site. I am really happy with the results. You can see what my ad looks like by clicking here. One of the things I really like about kijiji.com is that new ads get featured on the front city page. It's fast and easy to use, and the result is a nice, good-looking ad. Unlike craigslist, the ads stays up for 60 days. I imagine that will change as the site grows. I haven't tried using postlets with it yet, but I bet it would work... What is a Favicon, you ask? Pronounced "fave-I-con" (like, you're favorite icon), it's that little picture that shows up instead of the blue "e" in Internet Explorer when you look up a webpage. There are a lot of marketing references in the world, for sure! The 'new', hot method of growing business is permission-based marketing, also known as referrals.
