oak hills savage: West Savage - Then (2009) and Now - 08/17/10 10:07 AM
By Chad & Sara Huebener
New inventory in West Savage has risen.  Most new listings that have hit the market are either a) relisted homes that previously canceled or expired, and/or b) ramblers, which now make up 36% of total West Savage inventory.  Buyers for the rambler market are working on selling their two-story home right now, so ramblers are competing ferociously for the two-story seller who does plan to buy a rambler as their next home. As a side note, all listed rambler inventory in Woodhill (as of today) is being sold "short."
We thought it would be … (0 comments)

oak hills savage: Just Listed in Oak Hills! 13517 Hillsboro Avenue - 07/16/10 09:05 AM
Welcome to 13517 Hillsboro Avenue in the Oak Hills Neighborhood of Savage.  This home was the builder's quality control model, and was used as a training tool for subcontractors on the builder's expectations for quality during the period of construction for the entire neighborhood.

oak hills savage: Pending Sales in West Savage Picking Up - 06/21/10 10:19 AM
West Savage inventory is sitting at spring norms, and includes two seldom-available blufftop homes on the north side of McColl Drive.  While May was an unusually slow month in terms of showing activity (attributed to buyers writing purchase agreements to meet the expiration of the tax credit deadline on April 30th) the good news is that June showings are picking up.   We hope to see this continue into the fall.  The seven pending transactions in the past 45 days are testament to the recent activity.
West Savage prices are still soft, and we are often seeing that what is … (0 comments)

Spring market is upon us!  Market activity has picked up to prove it.  Showings are picking up and inventory is beginning to increase.   First-time homebuyers and those who are upsizing have some of the best opportunities we have seen in years.  And then there are some who, if selling, simply cannot recoup what they paid for the home and/or owe on the mortgage.   So now what?   As simple as this sounds, I say - Enjoy your house!
I have always been one of those people who are always looking for something new and better, though I rarely take the plunge unless necessary.  Housing is no exception.  … (0 comments)

As is the nature of all markets, the bull was followed by the bear, causing … (0 comments)
