The Reno Police Department recently announced that they will be out on Reno roads throughout March to help educate pedestrians and bicyclists to the rules of the road.  If either one isn't following safety precautions, they will receive a ticket just like any motorist would.  Since one-third of Reno's traffic-related deaths in 2010 were outside of a motor vehicle, it's important to know the safety rules for pedestrians and bicyclists in Reno.
Be Seen - Whether during the day or at night, on a bicycle or walking around, you need to wear clothing that can easily be seen by Reno motorists.  … (0 comments)

reno realtor: Home Value Updates May Mean Lower Property Taxes in Washoe County - 07/27/10 03:45 AM
Home value updates may mean lower property taxes in Washoe County.  With July 1st as the official start of the new fiscal year, the treasurer's office has begun mailing Washoe County homeowners' their new tax bill for the year.  With the decline in Washoe County property values, homeowners can expect an average $250 smaller tax bill than last year.  While not all Washoe County homeowners will get a lower tax bill, the assessor's office estimates approximately 90% will see their property taxes reduced.
