real estate: Your Credit Profile----CHECK IT!! - 12/22/09 04:10 AM
You Can—And Should—Check Your Credit Profile For Free December 22, 2009 By Sandra Block Savvy consumers view offers for “free” products with the same skepticism reserved for weight-loss pills, work-at-home opportunities and spray-on hair. This caution is usually justified, particularly when it comes to credit reports. The best-known example: FreeCreditReport.com, the subject of entertaining commercials featuring scruffy losers with bad credit. Since 2005, Experian, which owns FreeCreditReport.com, has paid the Federal Trade Commission $1.25 million to settle charges that its ads … (2 comments)

Housing: Undervalued and Stuck There
December 22, 2009
Wells Fargo & Co. economists wrote in a note to clients last week, "The calculus of homebuying and finance has changed," summing up succinctly something that's troubling housing experts all over the country.

That's a modest number compared with metro areas hardest hit by the housing … (3 comments)

real estate: Best Place to Live 2009 Port Townsend Washington - 02/28/09 09:56 AM

Port Townsend, WA, 98368 was voted by me as THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE in 2009.  Home prices are down to a more affordable level.  Crime is low.  Happiness is up.  Rainfall is low.  2 mountain ranges to view.  2 major peaks to see, Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker.  Locals are friendly and considerate.  Traffic congestion is non-existent.  I couldn't think of a better place to live.  So I convened my panel of experts...me, myself and I and after careful deliberation, research and insight...we chose Port Townsend and THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE for 2009.  In fact, we couldn't find … (1 comments)

real estate: 2009 Customer Service Attitude - 01/06/09 08:43 AM

Market is slow, yes.  But that does not mean agents should be slow.  Now more than ever we need to work harder and more effeciently.  The client is number one!  We have had a nice run as realtors, but now the real work begins.  I predict that those real estate professionals left standing at the end of 2009 are going to be the ones that suit up and show up.  No more waiting for the call.  Sales is a contact sport.  That is why our clients and network are called CONTACTS! We need to reach out and contact, bring them … (4 comments)

Tomorrow is the Seattle Turning Point retreat.  6 people from my little office in Port Townsend, Washington will be driving over tomorrow in the wee hours just to get a front row seat.  I've been to 1 turning point, but Joe Niego was the presenter at that event.  I'm looking forward to it.  And know that Brian Buffini will not dissapoint.
12 out of 13 agents at my office have gone through the 100 days program.
