Giving Tuesday - Keeping It Local
It's Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday that follows Thanksgiving where we give to charities to help make the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves better. When it comes to giving we often think about the larger charities but small charities often get forgotten and the need is more locally based. What are some of your favorite local charities?
I like to support local charities and more specifically, charities that have to do with people being able to stay in their homes longer or that make the lives of others better.

Rebuilding Together Baltimore
For those who don't know Rebuilding Together, Baltimore is my charity of choice. They are the charity I support on my birthday on Facebook and the charity I support through workplace donations. Rebuilding Together helps underserved and income-challenged homeowners over 65 stay in their homes longer and age in place with necessary home repairs.
There are a number of ways you can help Rebuilding Together. You can donate directly by visiting, by supporting their Amazon wishlist, and also through Target Circle. They also have Tax Credits to offer, if you donate at least $500 you can receive 50% of your … (1 comments)

Do You Live in the Wilson Park neighborhood of Baltimore?
Are you over 60?
Rebuilding Together Baltimore is an organization on a mission to repair homes, revitalize communities and rebuild lives. Their vision is safe homes and communities for everyone. They are still accepting applications for this years fall rebuilding day. RTB provides free home repairs to qualifying home owners over 60 years old. This year they are helping home owners in the Wilson Park area.
