fun: FOLLOW UP---My Health Related Goals for 2013 - 02/28/13 01:53 PM

In my original post My Health Related Goals for 2013 (An ActiveRain Challenge) I discussed how it’ been a challenge for me to stay focused on a healthy diet and how it affected my health.  I had started to eat healthier and along with the support of my husband, our household has rid itself of the majority of JUNK food we used to stock pile our shelves with.

I also needed continued support from my physical therapist and other bloggers who are writing in the Get Healthy in the Rain Group   I was hoping to obtain other recipes and … (11 comments)

Don't ya just love that spouse who is so jealous of all your ActiveRain blogging and the fun you're having that they PURPOSELY shoot a video in hope you'll post it for them?
Well, that's what my loving husband Gary did while I was doing an Open House yesterday.
We decided to start giving our 'thanks' early. We have been giving thanks for a few days and yesterday the 'feast' began. He cooked and carved and had a wonderful spread when I got home. (thank you for a spouse that loves to cook hehehehe!)

fun: Gaming Gary - 10/17/09 11:10 AM
Once in awhile my husband and I catch each other on video. Don't you agree that when someone doesn't know...it's that much more entertaining real? The following is what he does after a long days work while I'm blogging.
Take note of the whole set up. He's playing the "Need for Speed- Shift" game...but no...does he just stop there? Of course not! He gets the steering wheel and the pedals too!!
He used to tease me about blogging....but I keep telling him....my blogging brings business....his games?  Ahhhhh, watch the end....what a kid. :)

fun: Through the Years - Happy Anniversary! - 01/18/09 01:06 PM
Seven years ago today (and after about 13.5 years of being 'single') I married Gary.
It has been the most pleasurable trip of our lives. We reminisced today about the courtship days and the travel through these few short years.
My time passes by fast when you're having fun!
That's how we gage how well our marriage is going. I suppose if it were a yucky one the time would have dragged by realllllll slow. It probabaly helps that we're older and have gone through all the trauma and drama that one goes through in their younger years.
One thing is for certain. … (47 comments)

fun: Speechless Sunday: Sunrise in ALL It's Glory - 12/07/08 04:43 AM
Funny how we call it Speechless Sunday or Wordless Wednesday and still title the picture or HAVE to write something. Seems like a post is not a post if you can't write something. I wonder if Speechless Sunday is meant for the picture to leave us all in awe....leave us speechless? How about Wordless Wednesday? I definitely think that one was left for us to have no words.
So, in honor of Speechless Sunday...I am leaving you all to decide if there should be any utters for this picture. Fitting for a Sunday don't you think?

 Have a wonderful "Sun...day" !!

fun: Halloween At the Office With Wizards & Fairies - 10/31/08 01:09 PM
Ghosts, goblins, wizards and witches. Little devils, angels and Kung Fu Panda too.  I can't believe how many characters are around from the time I went trick or treating.
Halloween is surely the start of the holiday season to come....and right after it's over this hallowed eve....the Thanksgiving decorations will go up.
Well, today at Century 21 Liberty Homes there was a pumpkin, a wizard and yup.....a Fairy too.
We laughed and chuckled and took pictures but I'm the only one brave enough to post my pictures lol!
WooHoo Sally flew around the office today with her magic wand....hoping that by doing so … (45 comments)

fun: Pixels, Megapixels, Digital Images & 'Laugh Lines' - 08/15/08 08:09 AM
Okay, it's Friday and I REALLY need to have answers to this thing that's been bothering me for quite some time. You know how people keep saying that we should have our REAL pictures up here without 'touching it up'? Well, I think that's B.S. Why? Why would anyone want to show their detailed 'laugh lines' (okay, age lines, wrinkles)
Generally thinking, pixels are the smallest single component of a digital image. Regarding cameras, digital images are 'photosensor elements'. In plain language it means the more pixels used to represent an image....well, the more it represents a more detailed image (closer to … (51 comments)

fun: Paybacks ARE an 'itch' ...... woooohoooooo! - 08/10/08 04:43 PM
Okay, remember when Gary caught me on video? The Bored Spouse Needs to Get a Life  showed his sneaky yet chuckling joking side. The nerve of him to try and catch me with the "what did you say about that person" question. (good thing I didn't answer hehehe)
So NOW...let's just show you how paybacks are an 'itch' in this household.
Some parts of it you can't hear good so I'll write the lines....
Background:  (his game saying "game on!") Me:  Huh? Gary: Want one?  Mmm (eating shrimp cocktail) He leans over and opens the door for the dog to come … (19 comments)

fun: Geico Commericials - A Chuckle for the Day - 08/10/08 05:50 AM
AudreyJune-Forshey wrote No Food, No Drink, No Internet. . . ? and her last statement "So easy a Caveman can do it" made me jump up and run to YouTube and find one to post.... my favorite Geico commercial of all time.  I crack up ...still.

Now, we all know we love those Geico commercials and my husband and I got "hooked" on them since they started. And the following one is the first one that started it all....lol!
