Actual Sales for the month of May surged over the 1,000 mark to 1,114.  This is an increase of 19.5% sales compared to the previous month of April, and it is a 20.4% increase in sales compared to May 2012. As the sales increased last month, the average sales price followed the same trend.  In fact, the average sales price on single … (3 comments)

colorado springs real estate analysis: Listing and Sales Summary – April 2013 – Colorado Springs Real Estate - 05/07/13 02:59 AM

I asked my wife a straightforward question, “Honey, how would you describe the April market?” She replied, “Don’t ask me that right now I am too busy to think.”

Personally, I believe the Waldo Canyon Fire had an impact on some proposed closing transactions that were scheduled for the end of June – especially when considering insurance coverage requirements.  Yet, while many are focused on the downside due to the fire, Colorado Springs also dealt with a large hailstorm earlier … (12 comments)

There are some changes that keep occurring in the Colorado Springs Real Estate market – somewhat comparable to the abrupt changes we experience in the weather patterns.  On Sunday, it was the most beautiful day you could imagine, 81 degrees, no humidity and not one cloud in the powder blue sky.  By Tuesday morning, we had 50 mph winds, blowing snow, and temperatures … (10 comments)

Let’s not sugarcoat this particular report.  Our real estate market deserves much better.  It deserves the truth about its activity.  Just because we’re experiencing a hiccup in momentum right now, it doesn’t mean that things will not pick up after we’ve swallowed a cool cup of water.
