I can hardly believe how out of control this whole "short sale" business is getting. Two times within the past week my clients have been interested in properties listed by the same agent for the same, so called, owner. This "owner"/seller is a company who contacts pre-foreclosure homeowners and offers to HELP them avoid foreclosure. He convinces them to sell the property to him as a short sale. The homeowner signs a contract to sell their property to this company, giving the company power of attorney to handle the transaction for them. I'm a Realtor in Concord North Carolina, a suburb of Charlotte NC and I'm getting rather frustrated with the way short sales/pre-foreclosures are being listed in our area! In the Charlotte NC area, many agents are listing homes as short sales/pre-foreclosures before the lender is even contacted at all about a possible short sale. Agents are listing homes at ridiculously low, way below market value prices, which is hurting other sellers in the same neighborhood. VS I've been a Remax real estate agent for several years now, currently with RE/MAX Gold in Concord North Carolina, and I definitely wouldn't want to be anywhere else besides RE/MAX. However, I'm not very happy with the recent change from Reliance Network & RIMS websites to Leadstreet & eNeighborhoods websites. RE/MAX of the Carolinas and RE/MAX of Florida had a different system for managing Remax leads until earlier this month, it was called RIMS (RE/MAX Internet Marketing Stategy) and was serviced by Reliance Networks.
