recovery: The Magic Pill For A Real Estate Recovery

Everyone seems to be waiting on the magic pill for an American real estate recovery. Where is it? What is it? Will it come from a specific sector or maybe a specific geographical location? And what exactly will the industry look like when it is "fully recovered", and who gets to determine if it has recovered? When I listen to the news or read articles in various media about the housing recovery, it seems that I get a different perspective from each one.
