san mateo real estate: The Agent Matters! - 01/27/16 10:08 AM

What a difference an Agent makes!

Three (3) very similar homes; 2 very different approaches to selling.

I sold 1851 Nash Drive for $950 sq ft; a South Shoreview Record!
I sold 1881 Nash Drive for $951 sq ft; a NEW South Shoreview Record!
“Discount Broker” sold 1748 Nash Drive for $850 sq ft.

In terms of bed, bath count and living square footage, they were identical:
3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1,000 Sq Ft and all were similarly updated.
Their yards were comparable in size:  6,930 – 7,700 sq ft lots.

san mateo real estate: Selling "Off Market" is an option, but make sure you're not selling your home short. - 04/02/12 03:50 AM
I was recently on a listing appointment for a house in San Mateo. After I was done with my presentation, the seller said to me, “One of my neighbors down the street just sold his house and it never hit the market. There wasn’t a sign or anything. What do you think of selling my home “Off Market”?

My answer was that “It depends”.

The first part of “It depends” is, what will selling “off market” mean to your family. Selling a home is hard on the homeowner, since the house has to be kept in showroom condition, all … (0 comments)
