Pend Oreille County is one of the northern most counties in the State of Washington, bounded by Idaho the east, Stevens County to the west, and Canada to the north. Much of Pend Oreille County is comprised of forest land with the river valleys lined with large scale farms. Agriculture remains the largest economic driver in the county.
