While showing a house this weekend, I spotted this telephone attached to the kitchen wall. Wow, the memories started whirling in my head. How many of you remember: 1). The old rotary telephone 2). This was the one and only phone in the house. 3). It was located in a central location of the house. 4). For those of us who live on the East Coast, you are already aware that we got slammed, once again, with snow. Actually, I really like the snow; it's the aftermath that is frustrating and not particularly attractive - slushy, brown snow is not appealing. This photo was taken just after the sun had come up and the snowplows had already been working overtime. Wow, when the ground hog saw his shadow on Sunday; thereby, predicting 6 more weeks of winter, I had no idea that it meant 8" of snow! Release to Freedom For those of you who may have been wondering how 'Munk' has been doing after his rescue about a month ago; I, actually, went up to Weston, CT, on Saturday and watched him dash to freedom. When I say watched, I mean just that. In the blink of an eye, without time to click my camera, he was gone. Off to critter-land and the world of nuts, berries and other animals, large and small. How to Get New Business 101 Who wouldn't like to find new ways to get new business?! How about rescuing a chipmunk! I know, totally crazy, silly; BUT that is exactly what I did. My husband came home from the gym this morning; and the first thing that he said to me, "There's a chipmunk in our front garden. He doesn't 'look right'."
