How much is my home worth?  The question every home seller thinks about at some point or another.  Where do they turn first for answers?  Typically the internet to see what the many online valuation tools have to say.  Understanding how a real estate agent determines a range of value is important.  We have physically seen the property and take into account any special features, negatives, and adjust accordingly.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, what do yours say about you? Some say we don't need words for the right picture. I agree and would like to add that a picture with words depicts how the poster wants the story to be told. Without words we are left to imagine (which I love to do) what the picture is telling us. We all have our own opinions, thoughts, and idea’s, this helps shape who we are.

mls: Pleasantville NY Real Estate Market Update October 2014 - 10/16/14 10:19 PM
  As much of the county is seeing Pleasantville Single family home sales of 8 were down a bit from 15 in September 2013 and the lowest since 3 in March 2014.  The sales/list price ration inched up a bit to 97.3% from 97%.  The median price was $713,000 which is up from $605,000 this time last year.         Inventory is up 8.1% from 62 in August and up 3.1% from 65 in September 2013.  New listings are still coming on the market and the months of supply are up modestly from August.  The days on market of … (0 comments)

mls: Another Strong Month For Rye NY Single Family Closings - 09/16/14 11:14 PM

 
 
Rye had another very strong month for closings with 27 single family homes trading hands in August.    Although that number is down a bit from 33 in August 2013, it's still a good number for this time of year and is the highest it's been since then.  The median price was $1,950,000 which is up 12.1% from 1,740,000 in August 2013.  The amount of inventory hasn't changed much since July down 9% and only 9.8% form August 2013.  There were a good number of multi million dollar homes that came on the market in Rye these last few months as well.  The average … (3 comments)
